Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed by the SAMMI Pro Account Linking service ("the Service"), how it is used, and how long it is stored. The Service lets you connect your Patreon account together with your Twitch account and/or YouTube channel so that your active Patreon membership can be verified and SAMMI Pro supporter features can be unlocked inside the SAMMI application.

Data Collected When Linking Accounts

Depending on which accounts you choose to connect, the following data is stored:

  • Patreon: Patreon user ID, Patreon username / display name, membership status, and currently entitled membership amount
  • Twitch: Twitch user ID and Twitch username, plus a history of up to 2 Twitch accounts previously linked to your Patreon account
  • YouTube: YouTube channel ID and YouTube channel name, plus a history of up to 2 YouTube channels previously linked to your Patreon account
  • General: the date and time your linked data was last updated


No passwords are collected or stored. No email addresses are stored.

Google / YouTube Data

When you connect a YouTube channel, the Service uses Google OAuth with the read-only YouTube scope (youtube.readonly) for a single purpose: identifying the YouTube channel of the signed-in Google account. The Service requests your channel list once and stores only the channel ID and channel name of your channel. No video data, subscriber lists, playlists, analytics, or other YouTube content is read or stored.


Google OAuth access tokens are used only during the linking process to perform this single lookup and are not stored in any database.


The Service's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.


The Service uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube linking feature you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke the Service's access to your Google data at any time via the Google security settings page.

Patreon Data

When you connect Patreon, the Service reads your Patreon identity (user ID and profile name). In addition, the Service receives membership information for supporters of the SAMMI Patreon campaign directly from Patreon (via the Patreon API and Patreon webhooks), including membership status and the currently entitled amount. This information is used solely to determine whether SAMMI Pro should be unlocked.

Twitch Data

When you connect Twitch, the Service reads your Twitch user ID and username through the Twitch API. The Twitch login authorization may technically include access to the email address of the Twitch account; the Service does not read or store email addresses. Twitch OAuth access tokens are used only during the linking process and are not stored.

This Data Is Used To

  • Verify that your Patreon membership is active
  • Connect your Patreon membership to your Twitch account and/or YouTube channel
  • Unlock SAMMI Pro supporter features inside the SAMMI application
  • Answer verification requests from the SAMMI application (using your Twitch user ID or YouTube channel ID)
  • Limit how many different accounts can be linked to one Patreon membership (abuse prevention)
  • Provide support and troubleshoot linking issues

Data Sharing

Personal data is not sold and is not used for advertising. Data is processed only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Hosting: the Service and its database are operated on third-party hosting infrastructure that processes data as needed to run the Service.
  • SAMMI application: when SAMMI verifies your Pro status, the linked account names, IDs, and membership amount associated with your linked accounts are returned to your SAMMI installation.
  • Operational notifications: when accounts are linked, a limited notification (linked usernames, IDs, and membership amount) may be sent to a private developer channel for operational monitoring and abuse prevention.

Retention

  • Linked account data: stored for as long as your link is active, so your SAMMI Pro status can be verified.
  • Account history: the list of previously linked Twitch accounts and YouTube channels is stored for abuse prevention until removed on request.
  • Temporary Pro grants: automatically deleted after their expiry date.
  • OAuth tokens: not stored.

Your Choices and Data Deletion

  • You can revoke the Service's access to your Google account at any time via the Google security settings page.
  • You can revoke the Service's access in your Patreon connected apps and Twitch connections settings.
  • You can request deletion of your stored linking data at any time by contacting us (see Contact below). Note that deleting your linking data will deactivate SAMMI Pro for the affected accounts.

Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect stored data and operate the Service, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and access-restricted infrastructure. However, no online service can guarantee complete security or uninterrupted availability.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Service, data retention, legal requirements, or operational needs. Continued use of the Service after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
